[Column|한의] 자연을 닮은 사람을 진단하고, 치료하는 자연의학 – 한의학 (1)

원구한의대에서는 이번달부터 ‘자연을 닮은 사람을 진단하고, 치료하는 자연의학 – 한의학’이라는 주제로, 연속 컬럼을 게재할 예정이다. 지금까지 한의학컬럼이 병명과 진단, 그리고 치료에 중점을 두었다면, 이번달부터는 ‘왜, 한의학인가?’에 대한 이야기를 한다.

과학이 발달하기 전, 우리의 조상들은 모든 의학은 경험에서 시작이라고 믿었다. 이런 믿음은 인간들이 미물이라고 생각했던, 우리 주변의 식물, 동물, 광물, 그리고 곤충에 이르기까지, 다 먹어보고, 냄새 맡아보고, 눈으로 색과 모양을 관찰하고서야, 그 효능을 경험하게 된다. 한의학을 경험의학이라고 불리는 이유도 여기에서 시작한다.

둥근 모습의 하늘을 닮은 사람의 머리, 넓은 네모라고 믿었던 땅의 모양을 닮은 사람의 몸, 하늘과 땅의 중간에서 공기의 움직임을 닮은 사람의 팔과 다리로 시작하여, 사람의 몸은 자연을 참으로 많이도 닮았다.

하늘에 북극성을 중심으로 7개의 북두칠성이 있듯이, 사람의 머리에는 백회라고 불리우는 우리 몸의 모든 기운을 담당하는 혈자리를 기준으로, 얼굴에 7개의 구멍(눈(2), 코(2), 입(1), 귀(2))이 있다. 따라서, 7개의 구멍은 각각 사람에게 정보를 받아서, 뇌에 넣어주는 역할을 하며, 그렇게 입력된 정보가 제대로 활용이 되고자, 백회라는 혈자리로 사람이 가진 에너지를 조율한다. 만약, 정보의 입력은 정확한데, 처리가 제대로 되지 않아서 생기는 치매라는 병이 있다면, 백회와 그 주변의 사신총이라고 하는 혈자리로 정보처리를 도와준다. 사람의 머리는 흡사 하늘을 닮아서, 하늘의 뜻이라고 불리우는 각종 불가항력적인 질환을 치료하는 혈자리들이 많이 모여있기 때문이다. 즉, 사람의 머리는 몸의 에너지를 조율하는 백회, 기억력을 도와주는 사신총, 팔다리의 움직임을 도와주는 운동구, 맛보고, 피부로 느끼는 등의 센서를 도와주는 감각구, 말을 제대로 할 수 있게 도와주는 언어구 등이 모여 있다. 다시말해, 내가 지금 이런 증상들과 연관된 병을 앓고 있다면, 하늘의 뜻으로 생긴 병이니만큼, 하늘을 표현하는 머리에 있는 혈자리들로 치료해 볼 수 도 있다.

Oriental Medicine is a Natural Medicine that diagnoses and treats the humans that assimilate nature. (1)

Wongu University of Oriental Medicine would like to introduce a series of contents that explains Oriental Medicine, as a Natural Medicine that diagnoses and treats the human assimilated nature. While we have introduced specific diagnosis and treatments so far, we would like to address the reason why we consider Oriental Medicine. 

Before medical science was established, our ancestors believed that all medicine is from our experience. This means we tried to taste, smell, observe each surrounding nature including plants, animals, minerals, and experience its effect on humans. This is the reason why Oriental Medicine is regarded as the medicine of experience.  

The shape of the human body is similar to nature as well; such as the round shape of the head, the round shape of sky, the square shape of the body,  the trunk as earth, and the movement of arms and legs as movement of air between sky and earth. 

As the 7 stars of Big Dipper are surrounding the Polar star, there is a acupuncture point called ‘Bai Hui’ (Meeting of one hundred, Du20) on the top of the head that manage all energy on the body and 7 different openings including 2 in the eyes, 2 in the nose, 2 in the ear, 1 in the mouth are surrounding. All 7 opening doors are receiving information from nature to the human brain, and information is managed at the Bai Hui acupoint. 

If the incoming information is correct, but managed poorly, such as in the condition of dementia, Bai Hui point and surrounding 4 acupuncture points called ‘Si Shen Cong’ (four spirit and intelligence) would support the process properly. There are several acupuncture points on the head as the sky and would be often used for brain function. 

The acupuncture points on the head consist of Bai Hui that manage all energy on the body, Si Shen Cong that support memory, motor function points that manage movement of arms and legs, sensory function points that support sensory organs. In other words, when we have concerns above, it would be regarded as concerns from the sky, we use acupuncture points of the sky.
